Gravity Action Guided Biking:
Established in 1993, Gravity Action is the original Mountain Biking company in Queenstown NZ. They provide guided DOWNHILL Mountain bikes and Biking trips into Skippers Canyon, accessed from the Coronet Peak Ski field road.
With a choice of two tracks they cater for riders of all abilities, from DH racers to first time riders.
The single track was originally established by the goldminers in the 1860's and it has now become one of the best downhill tracks in New Zealand.
Adjacent to the single track is the famous Skippers Road. This serves as the means for their 4X4 shuttle to return you to the top of the track for your second run. The less experienced riders can also choose the road as the easy route down the Canyon.
With experienced, first aid trained guides, to show you the way, you will have the DOWNHILL experience of a lifetime.

Skippers Canyon:
The Historic Skippers Canyon, located 25 mins from Queenstown, was a buzz of goldmining activity from the 1860's up until the early 1900's.
In the height of this activity the Canyon was inhabited by 10,000 goldminers and was thankfully, for the miners, serviced by 30 pubs - one every mile. The only access in and out of Skippers was the old "Pack Track" until 1902 when the hair-raising single lane road was completed. This was an impressive feat as large sections of rock had to be blown through and took 20yrs to finish.
In recent years, areas of Skippers Canyon has been used for movie locations - including Middle Earth scenes from Lord of the Rings.
